THIS INFORMATION HAS BEEN COLLATED AND SHARED BY NATIONAL TRUST (SA) & CONSERVATION COUNCIL (SA)

The National Trust of South Australia and the Conservation Council of South Australia recently attempted to survey 1000 local government (council) candidates asking what they would do to protect built and natural heritage, and querying their thoughts on how the new planning system has affected the rights of residents and local governments. Questions were also asked on climate change and transport.

The survey was circulated to candidates through e-mail. Reasonable efforts were made to contact candidates, however, e-mail addresses were not able to be sourced for all candidates. Where a candidate provided a phone number, a text message was sent to candidates requesting their e-mail address. However, where candidates provided neither an e-mail address nor a phone number, contact was not able to be made before the survey deadline.

173 responses were received. Find out which candidates completed the survey and read their responses here.
