Keen birders have reported seeing Eastern Spinebills in Borthwick Park. This tiny honey-eater darts swiftly from bush to bush, flying low and extracting nectar from flowers. Spinebills are not uncommon in gardens this time of year but have not been seen recently in our park due to the marauding and ever-present Noisy Miners.
