Let’s clean up Kensington!!
The Kensington Residents’ Association has arranged local Clean Up Australia Day events for more than twenty years. Click here to view our page on the national Clean Up website.
Clean Up Australia Day started with a few people motivated to clean up their local areas (Lake Macquarie 1987, Sydney Harbour 1989) inspiring other people to join in. It’s become a huge national event that builds community and improves our environment. Get involved this year!
Meet at Borthwick Park on Sunday 3rd March at 10am. Each volunteer (or group of volunteers) is allocated a section of Kensington to clean up.
Rubbish bags and gloves are provided for volunteers’ use. Wear suitable shoes for comfortable walking, as well as a hat/sunscreen.
All collected rubbish is to be returned to Borthwick Park where morning tea/ brunch is provided for the volunteers.
