Right here in Kensington, the Josephite SA Reconciliation Circle meets monthly to work in solidarity with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples, advocating for justice and reconciliation in South Australia.

Established by the Sisters of Saint Joseph in 2003, the Circle carries forward the legacy of the Sisters and those who have gone before them. It is a member of the SA Allies Network and collaborates with the Sisters of Saint Joseph Reconciliation Action Plan.

The Circle’s work includes inviting Aboriginal Advisors and Mentors to guide its advocacy for Aboriginal children, young people, families and communities, as well as truth-telling, organising and attending events and rallies, and simply engaging with Aboriginal friends. Their hope is to create a space for voice, truth-telling and deep listening.
